The Battle of the Mages

After putting Sakura back in bed, Fai wonders about Sakura's nature. Meanwhile, Mokona awakens from Kurogane's pocket, and then Fai figures her nature to be purify tarnished souls. Later that night, Syaoran reminds when Sakura was sick back in the Kingdom, she said that the first person she would see when she woke up would be Syaoran.

The following day, all of them are gathered in the room discussing about Sakura's feather and which Kudan it could be in. Soon they come to the conclusion that it would be a powerful kudan holding the feather. Syaoran and his friends go out later, and they are met by Masayoshi. Unfortunately, Masayoshi and Mokona, who jumped on his shoulder, are kidnapped by a steel-liked bird, who left a note behind. After reading the note, he realizes that he cannot communicate with Fai or Kurogane. Soon they realize what Mokona has done for them all this time!

The group eventually end up at Hanshin Temple, because as they got closer, they could understand each other again. Masayoshi and Mokona await them, tied to the statue at the top of the tower. Unlike Masayoshi, Mokona is enjoying this experience and even singing a little song to it. On the top balcony of the tower, 3 henchmen launch their kudan at Syaoran's group, but fail miserably as Kurogane slashes the kudan with his own. Then their boss, who is also an pop idol, Primera appears! After realizing the one tied up at the top was not Syaoran, she challenges the real Syaoran. However, Fai takes up the challenge instead, and lets his own Kudan come out. With the power of his kudan, Fai is able to fly/levitate. Primera summons her own Kudan, which takes the form of a microphone, and she screams into it, releasing musical blasts of a sort.

Fai isn't that easily defeated though; he dodges each and every wave with ease. Slightly angered, Primera decides to transform her kudan again, this time it turns into a microphone with a long stand so it seems more like a staff. She says something into the microphone which creates a huge cleff in front of her. She wings her staff and the cleff hits Fai. Most unfortunatly, that's what she would like to happen, but it didn't. For her final attack, she sings really loud into her staff which releases a huge wave of sonar blasts. Fai dodges it with ease, as he simply runs on the attack's physical form, and pins Primera down.

Feeling unsatisfied, Primera creates another wave which accidentally blasts off a part of the top of the temple, thus Masayoshi and Mokona come off flying. Luckily his kudan catches him, then Shogo's kudan catches them. Syaoran turns around to fine Shogo's whole gang on the other platform hill. He turns to Syaoran and ask him if he's powerful. With that, he summons his kudan, challenging Syaoran. Having a serious face on, he burns with the will, summoning his own kudan.
