The Cracked Memento

Landing in the next world and messing up a grocery stand, a rather bulk man appears and grabs Sakura. Sakura says his grip hurts, and immediately Syaoran appears to kick him away. With a bad bruise to the cheek, the man opens his mouth to make a threat. However, he's cut off by a strong voice coming from a female child. After the man receives word from the country's lord, he retreats to the castle. While Mokona congratulated Syaoran, and pretends to kick like he did, the lord of the country and the man from before discuss the strange glow from the source of the lord's power.

The girl from before helps Syaoran and his group pick up the potatoes and other things that they dropped when they landed. Shortly after introductions, she invited them to her house. Chun Hyang is her name, she lived alone, and she hated the lord of her country. Judging by their awkward clothes, she asked if they were the secret agents who investigated the lords of each country. Eventually they move on to talk about the lord of country, Ryuban, and why he's evil. Halfway through their discussion, a whirlwind forms on top of her house, creating a hole in her roof. This was Ryuban's doing, with the power of hijutsu (secret arts).

The following day, Kurogane is up on the roof patching it. While Fai is in the room below passing him the boards. He works rather slow, and eventually tells Kurogane about Sakura's situation; no matter how many feathers she were to have back, she would never remember her times with Syaoran. Then Kurogane yells at him for drinking tea while he was stuck fixing the roof!

Meanwhile Sakura, Syaoran and Chun Hyang are in town shopping for more fitting clothes. The man who was selling robes was also having a little contest. 3 golden balls were the top prize, all one had to do was spin the box and hope that the golden ones came out. Sakura must have had a lot of good lucky because on her first spin, all the golden balls came out. With that grand prize, she was able to win robes for her whole group. After winning, they settles on the bridge during sunset, and Chun Hyang talked to Sakura about her past and her luck.

Chun Hyang thought of Sakura as a girl adored by God, that's why she has so much good luck. Something her mother told her about when she was still young. She moves on to talk about Sakura's past. Sakura then tells her that all she could remember was her name, and a desert country with nice people. She was happy now even though that was all she could remember, because she has Syaoran, Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona who are helping her to find her memories. Their conversation is cut short when they see smoke rising into the air from a burning home.

When they arrive, they see the lord's son (the bulk man from before). Apparently he and his gang burnt down someone's home because they were late of paying rent! He turns around to face the strangers from earlier. With a decision made in his mind, he decides to hurt Chun Hyang, but not physically. He takes out a huge maroon fan that had a yellow cresent moon in the middle. A fan that belonged to her mother. Chun Hyang recalls a time when her mother used that fan to bring a tree back to life with Hijutsu, a skill used to make others happy and not for one's own good. After Syaoran fights off several of the henchmen, Ryuban (from his castle) decides to kill him. Be summons a bigger and stronger whirlwind on Syaoran, which hurts him a great deal.

As the whirlwind retreats into the clouds, Ryuban's son decides to hurt Chun Hyang even more. He takes the fan and throws it into the whirlwind, causing the fan to rip into pieces. As he left with his henchmen, Chun Hyang stood there will her eyes covered by her hair, crying her heart out. Syaoran and Sakura could only watch her pain.
